The Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems Division of Parker Hannifin Corp., highlighted the Pump & Motor Division Europe’s new Series V16 motor at MINExpo earlier in the fall.
Series V16 is a new generation of variable displacement, bent-axis motors and a further development of Parker’s V12 and V14 bent axis motor series. The Series V16 provides customers in the mining industry with increased fuel savings and decreased carbon dioxide emissions in transmission, drilling and other mining applications.
It is available in displacements of 220 and 270 cm³/rev.
“Series V16 has the ability of stroking to zero displacement, providing a more flexible system and increased efficiency which results in greater fuel savings and reduced environmental footprint,” said Christian Bengtsson, product leader, Pump & Motor Division Europe.
Parker said the V16 offers best in the world speed capability which allows users to increase their production. It provides smooth, fast and accurate control and maneuverability. The bent-axis design withstands pressures up to 550 bar.
