On March 26, HAWE Hydraulik SE, Aschheim / Munich, signed the contract for the purchase of Hoerbiger Automatisierungstechnik Holding GmbH.

HAWE Creating_future_Anwendungen-ProdukteThe manufacturer of hydraulic components and systems has thus acquired several legally independent companies at three locations and the associated product range from Hoerbiger Deutschland Holding GmbH effective May 1. In 2018, the division generated sales of €64 million with approximately 320 employees.

This step offers HAWE an ideal addition to its existing product portfolio and thus an expansion of its position as a solution provider. As of 1 May, three new companies will emerge from the purchase. HAWE Altenstadt looks after existing customers in the machinery and mobilty segments, while HAWE Micro Fluid looks after customers in the medical and rides segments. In China, HAWE Hydraulik Systems (Wuxi) will take over the previous local activities. In addition, all products are now available to all customers in a joint product portfolio that complements each other. These include compact (DC) hydraulic power packs in a cost-efficient design, valves and pumps in the small volume flow range (NG3) and proven customer-specific system solutions for the target markets of presses, medical technology and marine. The global sales and service network of the HAWE Hydraulik Group is now being consistently integrated into the new product range and thus offers professional and reliable support in all target markets.

All employees at the existing locations will become part of HAWE Hydraulik. Customers of both product lines will benefit from the joint competence, the global sales and service network and the significantly expanded product range.

In the 70th year of its existence, this acquisition is an important strategic step for the HAWE Hydraulik Group to strengthen its market position as an innovative partner for hydraulic drives and mechatronic controls in over 70 industries.
