Aventics Corporate Games GroupPneumatics specialist Aventics and its team will once again compete at one of the world’s greatest international company sports events. 87 associates will join 5,500 competitors from 150 companies facing off at the sixth annual Corporate Games in Annecy, France, from June 31-July 1, 2018.

“Company sports not only promote employee health, they also foster a team spirit while strengthening collaboration. Competing at the world’s largest sports event for companies with an Aventics team is a highlight,” said Yvonne Comolli, Global VP, HR at Aventics. “The Corporate Games are an excellent opportunity to foster team spirit across departments and functions.”

With 87 employees, Aventics will head to the Alpine city in southeastern France to compete in categories including dragon boat racing, beach volleyball, biathlon, long-distance swimming, cycling, and mountain biking. Etienne Piot, President Aventics France, manages the Aventics plant in Bonneville, just 60 kilometers away: “You’d have trouble finding a region better suited to hold these versatile games than the extraordinary natural setting of the Haute-Savoie department, with its capital city of Annecy. We are pleased to be able to host our Aventics colleagues from outside France again this year.”

The Corporate Games are the world’s largest international company sports event. Ever since its foundation in 1988, more than 1,000,000 sports enthusiasts from 37 countries and 29,000 corporate organizations have faced off in 70 different types of sports. Last year at the Corporate Games France, 6,000 participants from 200 companies and 11 nations competed in 21 different categories.
