Aventics aims to simplify configuration and ordering processes for complete pneumatics solutions through digitalization. All its tools are available free of charge online, from configuration programs to product information, CAD data and calculation tools, up to the energy savings calculator.
Engineers and buyers can use its “CylinderFinder” to simplify selection of the right cylinder for their application and requirements. The CylinderFinder determines suitable products from all available variants and versions based on the entered data. It searches 18 product series with a total of 1,700 possible cylinder variations. The online tool does not require any programs to be installed or any administrator rights.
Aventics also provides many other tools: At www.engineering-tools.com, customers will find various product configurators, calculation programs, a CAD library, and the Cross Reference Tool for immediate use, as well as the Scheme Editor circuit diagram software for download.
Using these programs, customers can configure their own piston rod cylinders, rodless cylinders, cylinder valve units, valve systems, and maintenance units. “Users can tailor their products to their needs, budget, and application, right down to the last detail,” explained Rainer Kemmler, Head of Online Tools at Aventics. The configurator enables exact planning, from documentation to CAD data for download, through to delivery tracking.
If customers are considering switching from another product to Aventics, the Cross Reference Tool is also useful: Users can enter data for their installed pneumatic components and receive the corresponding Aventics alternative as a result. The tool contains product information, prices, online ordering options, and contacts.
“The growing number of users is proof that our tools are gaining in popularity,” reports Kemmler. “They are making it a lot easier for customers to implement quick individual solutions.” Of course, customers are not left to their own devices: Aventics customer service is happy to provide phone or e-mail support in case of questions or custom requests.
