SMC introduces series of Specialty Pneumatic Fittings

Pneumatic automation products manufacturer SMC (www.smcusa.com) has proudly introduced its Specialty Pneumatic Fittings, which include KS, KX, KK, LQ and KV2 Series.

Rotary one-touch fittings KS and KX series are available in five tube sizes that range from four to 12 mm and their one touch collet features anti-tube rotation mechanism. The KS series feature a ball race bearing for rotating or oscillating applications while the KX series is fitted with a double ball race bearing for high speed applications.

The S coupler series KK achieves a slim body design as well as large effective area through a construction that eliminates the need for valve springs or steel balls, resulting to unrestricted flow path. To reach its overall weight, the body size is reduced and resin parts as well as pressing parts are used.

Responding to the latest demands in process control, the high purity HYPER FITTING series LQ controls all processes — from parts cleaning to assembly and packaging — for cleanliness. The use of PFA effectively eliminates total organic carbon (TOC) and particle generation, enabling confident use of the LQ even in the most demanding applications. In the event of changes in chemistries or flow requirements during the process, the face seal design of the LQ enables customers to quickly change the tubing and/or tube diameters using similar fitting body.

Meanwhile, the one-touch technology of KV2 fittings makes tube insertion (with strong tube holding force) as well as removal easier. Used in trailer, transit, commercial truck and specialty vehicle markets, the KV2 features patented seals that allow tube cut angles above the standard of the heavy vehicle industry and meets SAE J1131, FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J2494 standards.
