Hopefully you mapped out your first day at IFPE well—there was certainly a lot to see, and I know I only covered a fraction of what I want to experience! Thank goodness this show continues on all week …
Well, one thing that is sure to attract people to a booth is golf, and Manuli Hydraulics is capitalizing on that at booth S-81152. The company is giving away a top-of-the-range PING golf bag as the prize for achieving the fastest time on their new “José’s Golf Experience” game. Simply navigate a golf ball through the giant table maze as quickly as possible. It might sound simple, but it takes some definite skill—not to mention a steady hand–to get on the leaderboard.
The company is also taking the opportunity at the show for the official launch of their new range of flat-face multiconnector solutions—first reported here in January–which they have been demonstrating at the booth. This new product range gives OEMs the performance of a flat-face quick coupling along with the added efficiencies that come with a multiconnector block solution.
Meanwhile, over in the 2400 row, you’ll find Magnetek Inc., a manufacturer of digital power and motion control systems, at Booth S-82433. At their booth, visitors can test a variety of the company’s wireless controls, including the MHR Radio Controller, Flex Pro transmitter, and Mini-PGT transmitter. The Company’s new cable reel product line is also on display.
The MHR radio controller combines the components of a radio receiver, CAN-bus display module, and hydraulic valve controller into a convenient single unit—which saves money and frees up valuable real estate on a vehicle. When packaged with a transmitter, the MHR provides a total radio control system, the company says.
As far as applications are concerned, the Flex Pro transmitter easily adapts to specific uses, offering a versatility. And as part of Magnetek’s range of mini wireless controls, the Mini-PGT incorporates the latest electronic technology in a compact and lightweight case. Mini-PGT features many of the controls found on Magnetek’s larger pistol-grip transmitters but in a size, weight, and style similar to most handheld transmitters.
Magnetek also manufacturers cable reels, which are designed to be mounted on moving machinery and used to supply power for the automatic winding of flexible power or control cables.
“A cable reel is a superior solution to effectively and compactly manage large lengths of cable,” said Ben Stoller, Magnetek’s director of radio controls. “Cable reels can be packaged with any of Magnetek’s industry-leading power and motion control products, making it easier for customers to customize systems to fit their exact needs.” Magnetek offers both spring-driven and motorized electric cable reels, as well as slip ring assemblies.
And lastly, at the Gates Corp. “Under the Hood” booth, at S-080206, attendees can gain hands-on, life-saving tips at the company’s Safety Stations. Plus, they went “under the hood” of a skid steer, re-engineering its hydraulic port to port content for maximum uptime, efficiency, and output. Pretty cool stuff. Even better, the company is giving away prizes, including:
- a customized carabineer with safety tips just for visiting.
- a free, Gates t-shirt for participating in a live infographic solving your hydraulic challenges.
- a durable Carhartt backpack to fill with all your essentials.
Plus, you can enter to win the Gates “Under the Hood” Grand Prize—a free, Value Engineering / Value Analysis consultation with a company expert to optimize your hydraulic system.
I’m sure a lot more’s in store tomorrow, I can’t wait for Day #2!
