As of May 1, 2019, Matthew Chapman will take over as the new President of Sales and Marketing for the automotive business of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies. The company is part of the Freudenberg Group and the global market leader in sealing technology and a supplier to the automotive industry. Chapman succeeds Rainer Joest, who is retiring after more than 40 years of successful service to the company.
Matthew Chapman has detailed knowledge of the automotive industry. He has worked for Freudenberg Sealing Technologies in various sales positions in the automotive business for more than 15 years. After successfully completing his mechanical engineering studies at Kettering University in Michigan, Chapman joined the company’s North America sales organization as an account manager in 2003. This was followed by other global management positions within automotive sales. Since 2018, he has been VP of Sales and Marketing for New Mobility, responsible for the worldwide business activities of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies in the field of electromobility.
His predecessor, Rainer Joest, is retiring after more than four decades with the company. Since 2016, he has been responsible for worldwide sales of the automotive business of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.
