Danfoss Drives, Danfoss Industrial Automation and Danfoss Power Solutions will exhibit at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas, May 1–4. The conference marks the first time multiple Danfoss divisions will exhibit together in North America.

With its combined product lineup and available expertise, Danfoss is engineering tomorrow for customers in the marine and oil and gas industries. Products offered by each division—some of which will be highlighted at the conference—work together to form total system solutions for many diverse power needs suited for an array of hydraulic and electric offshore applications.

Hydraulic and electric system competence
Offshore marine applications face the toughest operating environment imaginable. Subject to harsh weather conditions, extreme temperatures and constant salt water immersion, an extremely high level of reliability and performance is a necessity. Danfoss can help OEMs match customer demands with high-quality products and systems expertise.

Danfoss products are available for an array of marine applications—improving efficiency, safety and reliability. For example, they can offer both hydraulic and electric solutions for multiple areas on a marine vessel, including the crane, propulsion system, thrusters and winches. Implementing Danfoss products in these areas can improve equipment management, visibility, reliability and accuracy, all with flexible design options and user-friendly integration.

Whether implementing an electric or hydraulic solution, Danfoss is a one-stop supplier that can meet OEM demands. Using Danfoss solutions for offshore applications also saves time in development and engineering while improving machine processes, resulting in a competitive, efficient product.

Through an interactive animation, conference attendees will be able to learn more about solutions for crane, propulsion system, thruster and winch applications at the Danfoss booth. The tool will walk users through hydraulic and electric offerings from all three Danfoss divisions that work together to create efficient and effective solutions for marine applications.

Solutions at work
Multiple solutions from Danfoss will be exhibited at the Offshore Technology Conference. Danfoss Industrial Automation will feature its line of pressure transmitters and temperature sensors at the conference. These state-of-the-art products can meet a wide range of automation requirements in the offshore industry with the necessary hazardous location and marine certifications, all while providing improved efficiency, accuracy and safety.

Within the same booth, Danfoss Drives will highlight its VACON 3000, VACON 100 and VACON NXP Liquid Cooled products. These models offer powerful performance and reliability in extreme conditions, all with the design and cost flexibility to meet a wide range of marine, oil and gas application needs. Electric solutions from Danfoss Drives are also engineered for maximum uptime, providing peace of mind and reducing total cost of ownership.

Danfoss Power Solutions will exhibit the closed circuit Series 90 axial piston pump and the OMS 80 orbital motor—both of which are ATEX certified. The Series 90 pump offers proven reliability and performance with integrated safety. The OMS 80 motor has a displacement range from 8–800 cc, torque up to 4020 N-m and speeds up to 2500 rpm. Integrating a hydraulic solution from Danfoss can increase reliability and efficiency in offshore applications.

Along with the product benefits, Danfoss can now provide 3.2 certifications for select hydrostatic products. Furthermore, working with Danfoss can also assist OEM customers in working with the short lead-time requirements that are typical in the oil and gas industry. The strong distribution network from Danfoss allows local support and expert service, transferring the time saved in maintenance and engineering to your customers.
