Festo announced yesterday that it has added two new distributors.

Heitek Automation, Phoenix, will now be distributing the full line of Festo pneumatic and electric automation components and systems in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico.

Heitek logo-1Since its founding in 2000, Heitek Automation partners with suppliers that are leaders in a product segment and have a record of superior product fulfillment and customer technical support. Heitek’s business strategy is focused on four key areas of automation services – solution development and consulting, whether in component delivery logistics or value-added system creation; design to meet specifications; assured fulfillment; and delivering technical support, training, and on-site resources as needed. For Festo products, Heitek will also provide customers with pneumatic panel building solutions. Heitek’s customer base includes original equipment manufacturers, process and manufacturing operations, and system integrators.

“Our strategic goal has always been to partner with innovative manufacturers with superior automation products—and Festo is exactly that company,” said Scott Heiling, President of Heitek Automation.

Power Mation solutions group

Power/mation Solutions Group’s customers indicated pneumatics was an automation technology they were interested in, so the distributor partnered with Festo.

In addition, Power/mation, St. Paul, Minn., has become its newest distribution partner. Power/mation will introduce the Festo product offering to its customers in Minnesota and the Dakotas as an extension to its current product portfolio. The company has warehouses and sales offices in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

“We surveyed our customers and sales personnel asking what areas of automation technology they most wanted us to add to our portfolio of solutions,” said Robert Stern, Vice President of Business Development, Power/mation. “A majority said pneumatics. We evaluated the market leaders and came away knowing we wanted to partner with Festo.” Stern said that the evaluation team considered such factors as annual research and development budget, the quality and breadth of product lines, the level of experience within the vendor’s sales force, number of markets served, and product delivery logistics.

“Power/mation has more than 80 highly experienced technical sales and solutions development specialists,” said Mark Snyder, Channel Director Festo Corporation. “This level of commitment to value-added services is impressive. Power/mation’s distribution infrastructure in the upper Midwest supports our strategic growth goals.”
