Peninsular launches electronic version of application data sheet

By Paul Heney | October 25, 2017

peninsular data sheetPeninsular Cylinder Co. has launched an electronic version of its application data sheet, a tool that the company says will make it easier for customers to provide information necessary to receiving custom cylinder designs.

While outlining the user interface, Peninsular’s marketing team put themselves in their customer’s shoes and imagined the journey of specifying custom cylinder design needs. This allowed them to pinpoint what questions were necessary to be included. From mounting styles, weight of load moved, environmental conditions & more, this eVersion of the application data sheet consolidates what were once scattered questions into a one stop shop for customer ease.

“Every detail in the custom cylinder design process is crucial. This new web based version of the application data sheet allows us to retrieve more information in less time from our customers,” said Bill Tyler, Peninsular’s National Sales & Marketing Manager.

In addition to a clean interface, intuitive functionality was also a priority during the planning process. This eForm was developed so that only questions relevant to the cylinder type in focus (pneumatic or hydraulic), arise as customers make their selections. They will also be able to upload images along with their submission.

Peninsular is no stranger to technologically driven transformations. This past year, the company launched a new website that is equipped with other tools that make it easier for customers to do business with them. This includes their distributor portal, where they can find their local distributor’s contact information, as well as a cylinder configurator. The cylinder configurator allows users to get 3D previews of their cylinder, download 2D drawings and request a quote, all from one portal. The web based version of the application data sheet joins this steady list of technologically driven initiatives that Peninsular has brought to the forefront of the fluid power industry.

The electronic data sheet features:

• Ability to attach drawings
• Submit application directly from online
• Cleaner user interface
