Hengli America is moving its U.S. headquarters from Naperville, to Bolingbrook, Ill., as it continues to expand its footprint in North America, said General Manager Justin Fluegel.
“We have about 47,000 square feet, total and about 12,000 of that is office space. The rest is a blank canvas,” Fluegel said.
This blank canvas will eventually filled by about $250,000 in machinery to allow Hengli to service hydraulic cylinders in the U.S. “We’re in the process of building test benches to service pumps and valves to duplicate what we currently have in Changzhou, China,” Fluegel said.
“It has more office area. It also helps us because staffing wise, we’re running out of space in Naperville location,” he continued. “Phase one is converting the office. We’re going to have a product training area for customers as well as distributors.”
The company is currently at eight employees, but will soon be at 10 as they will be bringing two application engineers over from China to support them over the long term, Fluegel said.
Fluegel said that the company works to reduce quality issues but the two-year plan with the new machinery, is to have it set up to support the company’s cylinder, pump and valve lines in the U.S. with a remanufacturing program.
In addition, the company will be launching several new product lines this year, particularly during the IFPE Show in March and at OTC in May.
