IFPE Download: Heat-shrink hose assembly sealing system prevents contamination

By Mary Gannon | March 11, 2020

At IFPE 2020 this week, Ultra Clean Technologies is highlighting its Clean Seal System to protect cleaned hoses, tubes and pipes. The Clean Seal System heat-shrinks a Clean Seal Capsule tightly around assemblies and utilizes just 11 sizes for most needs. This eliminates possible re-contamination that is problematic with traditional capping and plugging methods.

Re-contamination occurs when ill-fitting caps and plugs are forced onto assemblies, causing plastic particles to shear off into the hose or tube. The Clean Seal System leaves assemblies 100% contamination free, and provides an easier, less costly, and more effective solution than traditional capping methods.

With the system, you can seal one or multiple assemblies at once.

Custom capsules are also available with company logos.

Benefits of the Clean Seal System include:

  • Preserves cleanliness
  • Easy to use heat shrink machine or heat shrink gun for low- or high-volume production
  • Fast and easy capsule installation
  • Universal, clean fit up to 3 in. (80 mm)
  • Seals straight and elbow couplings
  • Eliminates cap inventory hassles

The system is easy to use. Users simply select one of the 11 capsules that fit closest to the size required and apply heat using the Clean Seal System or a Clean Seal Heat Shrink gun. It takes just seconds for the capsule to be cleanly sealed on the hose assembly.

Additionally, the company’s Clean Seal Flange is an advanced solution for keeping oil in your system and dirt out whenever you must disconnect or change a hose with flanged connections.
