Airline Hydraulics Corp., Benselm, Pa., has announced that SMC Corp. of America has expanded its Technology Distributor authorization with Airline to include all of Virginia. Airline’s relationship with SMC dates back to the mid-1980s when Airline became an SMC stocking distributor in portions of the Mid-Atlantic States. SMC expanded Airline’s distribution territory into New England in 2012 and into Western Pennsylvania in 2015. In Virginia, Airline will provide sales support from its facility in Ashland, VA.

“This expansion of Airline’s distribution territory underscores SMC’s confidence in our capability to increase sales and provide customers with best-in-class support,” commented Mark Steffens, CEO of Airline Hydraulics. “Airline’s extensive inventory of SMC products, coupled with our unique ability to provide customized solutions in the form of integrated component sub-assemblies, will create a win-win scenario for SMC and customers in Virginia.

Keith Elphick, Airline’s Director of Sales, added, “Customers in Virginia will enjoy the convenience of ordering SMC components on Airline’s e-commerce website since it integrates SMC’s E-TECH part configurator. Our website also provides factory stock information, so it’s easy to see what’s in stock and ready to ship not only from Airline but also from SMC’s factory.”

As an SMC Technology Distributor, Airline receives ongoing product training for their technical sales associates and supports its customers with an extensive SMC inventory. SMC offers over 9,800 products with more than 600,000 variations to meet its customers’ complex and diversified needs. Customers can depend on the technical expertise of Airline’s sales team and product specialists to help them choose the right products to improve their processes, increase efficiencies, and save money.
