JARP Industries, a manufacturer of custom hydraulic cylinders, has completed an asset purchase agreement of Ordered Motion Systems, Inc. (OMS), the Wausau, Wis.-based producer of large bore, telescopic cylinders.
Manufactured primarily for the oil and gas industries, these cylinders play a key role in large, complex applications such as mast and substructure raising and walking systems, drilling rig erection, and oil pumping. Their maximum size strokes of up to 90-ft and bores of up to 40-in. make them well suited to other markets as well, such as industrial, civil and defense engineering and mobile construction.
“The asset acquisition of OMS complements our current engineering and manufacturing expertise well,” said JARP Industries CEO, Kevin Kraft. “It supports our continuing growth in the oil and gas and civil and defense markets, allowing us to focus on repair as well as new cylinder builds.”
Incorporated in 1959 in Wausau, Wis., JARP Industries (jarpind.com) designs, manufactures and remanufactures custom hydraulic cylinders and other fluid power products for equipment manufacturers in several industries. With two manufacturing facilities totaling 150,000 square feet, JARP produces over 40,000 custom hydraulic cylinders per year.
