Stucchi premiers new couplings at IFPE

Hydraulic quick-coupling manufacturer Stucchi Inc., with U.S. headquarters in Romeoville, Ill., is launching a new series of heavy-duty locking quick-connect couplings at ConExpo/IFPE 2017. The VEPHDL locking thread-to-connect coupling system reportedly ensures safety, improves efficiency, eliminates environmental issues and increases productivity for the most demanding hydraulic applications.

Scott Rolston, President of Stucchi Inc., said, “We are excited to unveil this new locking thread-to-connect coupling system. The VEPHDL adds a locking feature to Stucchi’s proven VEPHD heavy duty flat face coupler. The new product, according to Rolston, “is the ultimate failsafe solution for heavy duty hydraulic applications.”

The VEPHDL locking female coupler allows users to connect/disconnect under high residual pressure and is an adaptation of Stucchi’s original flat face threaded coupling. The new version now incorporates a lock with a visual connection indicator to ensure full, leak-free connection in high-pressure, high-impulse applications. The VEPHDL is interchangeable with the VEPHD series and is QPQ coated for extended durability and corrosion protection. The products are available in 1.0, 1.25 and 1.5 in. sizes, with NPT, SAE and Code 62 flange port options.

VEPHDL series highlights include:
• Locking thread-to-connect coupling system.
• Connect/disconnect under high residual pressure.
• Flat-face valve for leak-free connection
• Visual connection indicator.
• High-strength carbon steel construction with QPQ coating for extended durability.
