Domin recently announced its latest development in the manufacture of hydraulic systems using an innovative approach to additive manufacturing. Recognizing the limitations and inefficiencies of traditional hydraulic systems, its ground-breaking approach to designing and manufacturing hydraulic systems combines additive manufacturing with cutting-edge technologies such as high-speed motor controls, onboard electronics, and intelligent data integration. These advancements promise to revolutionize industries such as automotive, industrial manufacturing, and aerospace.

To continue its pursuit of excellence, Domin has partnered with Renishaw to install its RenAM 500Q system. This strategic investment will significantly enhance its manufacturing capabilities, enabling the company to offer an extensive range of high-quality parts and components to its valued customers.

The RenAM 500Q system, equipped with four high-power 500-W lasers capable of simultaneously accessing the entire powder bed surface, achieves remarkable build rates surpassing those of previous systems.

“The valves manufactured by Domin require high precision machining, tight tolerances, and accurate positioning, utilizing high-grade materials to ensure robust chip shear and durability. With the RenAM 500Q, Domin can meet these demanding requirements while manufacturing at scale,” said Bryan Austin, director of AM sales at Renishaw.

By integrating Renishaw’s RenAM 500Q system, which incorporates an intelligent gas flow system that reduces process emissions from the build volume, the company can achieve a stable processing environment that further enhances quality standards.

“We are thrilled to partner with Renishaw in acquiring the RenAM 500Q,” said Marcus Pont, CEO of Domin. “This strategic investment will enable us to provide our customers with even more advanced solutions. We anticipate future collaborations with Renishaw as we continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible through precision additive manufacturing.”

Domin’s partnership with Renishaw is a continuation of its growth in U.K. engineering. The collaboration will create job opportunities, providing employment for skilled professionals in the engineering and manufacturing fields, and developing new ideas, techniques, and solutions that will drive U.K. innovation and fuel growth in the U.K.

The collaboration with Renishaw is driven by a shared commitment to innovation and quality. Together, the companies will continue to revolutionize the hydraulic industry using cutting-edge technologies including additive manufacturing techniques, starting a new era in hydraulics.
